Ogun State Police Command on has arrested four students of Community High Scool, Ijoun in Yewa North Local Government area of the state for beaten up their teachers.
The alleged Student's conspired together with hired suspected hoodlums to unleash mayhem on their teacher last Monday.
It was also gathered that, the affected teachers, Mr Stephen Oyelekan and Mr Kayode Olatunji who sustained various degree of injuries were eventually hospitalized following the attacks by the hired hoodlums who masterminded the attacks
Meanwhile,the Public Relations Officer (PPRO), of Ogun State Police Command,Eleweran, Abimbola Oyeyemi, when contacted confirmed the arrest of yet unknown students to the Press yesterday in Abeokuta.
Mr Oyeyemi said investigation was still ongoing to be able to ascertain what will be the punishment and next step to be taken about the students, who are still considered as underaged.
According to him, the suspected students organized the brutalization of the two teachers for having the effrontery to punish them for disrupting the peace of the school environment while the duo were teaching in other classes.
"What happened was that the students imported hoodlums into the school premises to beat their teachers who punished them for making noises".
The two teachers were in another classes teaching, while students in other class were shouting, making noises and distrusting the environment. The teachers however, published the entire class which allegedly infuriated some of them and so, they decided to also punished the teachers".
The PPRO however, assured that appropriate punishment will be meted out on the affected students as soon as investigation was concluded.
It was recalled that some gun wielding hoodlums, acting on the instruction of the students, had on Monday, invaded the Community High School Ijoun where they wreaked havoc and also succeeded at injuring Mr Oyelekan and Mr Olatunji.
Armed with machetes and axes among other dangerous weapons, the hoodlums stormed the school premises and descended on the teachers where they inflicted varying degrees of injury on them.
He also put on some efforts at getting the Principal of the School for comment but all were futiled.
However,a teacher from the school who preferred not to be known told us that ,some students of the school have becomes 'something else' and that, government must do something serious to check them on time.
Meanwhile, the identities of the affected students, who carried out this dastardly act were yet to be known as at press time.
The teacher who spoke on condition of anonymity also acted like Police officer and failed to disclosed their identities.
