The Chairman, Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, Ms. Olivia Olubukunola Onabanjo has charged all the Health Workers at the grassroots level of Ogun State to be more dedicated to their official duties.

Ms. Onabanjo gave the charge, while officially declaring open, a day workgroup meeting organized for the Community Health Extension Workers in the Remo Zone of the State at Ikenne Local Government Secretariat recently. She gave thanks to the Almighty God for His protection over everyone and for making the programme a reality.
The Commission boss, stressed that the workshop meeting is the continuation of the previous ones that had been organized in the past for some cadres in the Local Government Service, in order to improve their productivity and Service delivery, to the people of the grassroots in conformity with His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun's vision of providing qualitative service to the citizens of the State.
She reminded them that, health occupies prominent position in the strategic implementation of the Primary Health Care programme of the present administration, hence the need for constant training and retraining to update their knowledge and skills as Community Health Extension Workers, as well as, to expose them to new trends in the health service delivery system, through some carefully selected topics.
She also exploited the medium to thank the management of *DAVID CONSULT* handling the project, for packaging the workshop meeting with relevant topics and the crop of seasoned facilitators to do justice, to them.
Barr. Onabanjo further enjoined all participants to be attentive and participate actively in all the papers to be presented to them, so that, at the end of the meeting, they will have been better equipped, to cope with the changes and challenges brought about by the current Covid-19 pandemic, ravaging the country and the entire world at large.
The Managing Director, David Consult Dr. Niyi Akano, while speaking on the workshop meeting appraisal, appreciated the Commission for the opportunity given his establishment to develop its workforce in the health care sector and commended the participants, for being obedient and ready to learn.
Mr. Jokotade Ibrahim while, thanking the Commission on behalf of all other participants expressed his delight for the opportunity and promised that, they are going to bring to bear, all the innovations, in the health sector, which they have been thought.
Present at the opening ceremony were, Hon. Koye Martin's Ijaduoye, Commissioner ll, Balogun Rasaq Olatunde Rufai, Commissioner IV, Dr. Adeolu Oluseun Olufowobi, Permanent Secretary, Mr. Lekan Oderinde FCA, Director Manangement Services, Engr. Mohammed Ishola Abbass FNSE, Director Promotion Posting and Transfer, Alhaji Onagbenga Onayemi, Director, Manpower Development and Training and some Assistant Directors at the Commission respectively.
