ADO-ODO/OTA LG BOOSTS POULTRY SECTION WITH 1,000 BIRDS

Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government has expanded the capacity of its poultry farm to accommodate additional 1,000 point of lay birds.
Presenting the birds at the Local Government Secretariat, Hon. Sheriff Musa maintained that the agricultural sector should be developed, in order to contribute to the economy growth of the council area.
Hon. Musa pointed out that his administration would continue to support the Agriculture and Natural Resources Department of the Council, to boost food security and increase its Internally Generated Revenue.
“Our administration is making effort to ensure that all sections of the Agriculture and Natural resources department are supported to enhance food sufficiency for the benefit of the people in the council area”, he said.
Speaking, the Director of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mr. Kayode kisagbe appreciated the council boss for prioritising agriculture, saying the old layers of the birds sold to the public recently necessitated the purchase of 1,000 point of lay birds, and called on members of the public to continue to patronise the Local Government poultry farm.
