The Executive Chairman, Ewekoro Local Government, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa has charged principal officers of the council to work assiduously in ensuring an increase in the Internally Generated Revenue of the council.
The Chairman gave the charge during the 2022 budget retreat, held at the conference room of the Local Government secretariat , Itori.
Hon. Adesina explained that with robust internally generated revenue, his administration would be a able to meet the yearning and aspiration of the people of the council area.
He emphasised that the needs of the people were enormous and as a government, " We owe them the duty to serve and provide most of their essential needs if not all. "
The Council helmsman, therefore, appreciated members of staff for being diligent but enjoined them not to rest on their oars.
Responding, the Head Of Local Government Administration, Mr. Adeyanju Akinyemi assured the chairman that he would not be let down as the Local Government is endowed with professional, resourceful and seasoned officers that could turn things around for the better.
The budget deliberation session was electrifying and vigorous as Directors of various departments were on ground to stoutly defend and ensure that their departmental votes were adequately and appropriately provided with the required fund for the 2022 budget.
