A lone occupant of a Toyota RAV 4 reportedly died when the Sport Utility Vehicle rammed into a slow moving truck at Ogere axis along the busy Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Thursday.
The SUV with number plate LSR 991 FA, according to traffic report by the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, was on its way to Ibadan when the driver was said to have lost the control of the vehicle due to over speeding and rammed into a Howo truck with plate number KTU 419 XR from behind.
The Public Relations Officer, TRACE, Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi said, “According to an eye witness the accident was caused by over speeding on the part of the SUV driver and he rammed the vehicle into a slow moving Howo truck from behind.”
He said the deceased was the lone occupant of the vehicle, and his remains had been deposited at the FOS Morgue at Ipara Remo in Remo North Local Government Area of the state.
