The Executive Chairman Ado Odo/ Ota Local Government Hon. Sheriff Adewale Musa has recently commissioned a multi-purpose library hall built by one of the prominent sons of the council area Otunba Segun Adebiyi for the people of Ajogbo Akia Community.
Hon. Musa in his address during the commissioning appreciated the effort of Otunba Segun Adebiyi for remembering his ancestral home with a laudable project that will spur the youths and people of the community to greater heights and keep them away from wrongful acts and social vices.
The council boss added that despite the fact that Ajogbo Akia Community is an agrarian one, the provision of a multi-purpose library by Otunba Segun Adebiyi will boost the reading culture of the youths and serve not only the town but other adjoining towns and villages.
He called on sons and daughters of Ado Odo Ota Local Government in diaspora to emulate the kind gesture of Otunba Segun Adebiyi by coming home to give back to their various communities in a positive way.
Speaking earlier, the donor Otunba Segun Adebiyi in his address appreciated the Executive Chairman Hon. Sheriff Adewale Musa for gracing the occasion as it will encourage others like him to come home and give back to the society that gave birth to them.
He added that it has been over twenty five years that he left the community and appreciated God Almighty for his guidance and blessings to be able to give back to his ancestral home.
He further urged Africans in diaspora to always remember their ancestral home and provide developmental projects that will be of benefits to the people as government alone cannot meet all the yearnings of the people.
The guests and people of the village were treated to various cultural performances with the songbeto performance which is widely known as the culture of the community.
