2022 Democracy Day: Ewekoro LG Boss, Advise Nigeria To Obtain Their PVC

The Executive Chairman Of Ewekoro Local government has urged both indigenes and other eligible voters in the Council Area to ensure that they obtain the Permanent Voter’s Card, PVC, as the Nation prepares for the general elections in 2023.

Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa (ESKAY LODU), the Council Chairman made the plea in  commemoration of the Democracy day which is being marked on every June 12.

According to a press statement, issued by the Council’s Director Of Information, Mr Olopade Sakiru, the Chairman explained that without permanent voter’s card, it would be practically impossible for them to exercise their franchise during the forth coming general elections, while imploring them to equally encourage other residents in the remote area to collect of their permanent voter’s card.

Hon Adesina said, like the mantra of the present administration of Ogun State, “Building our future together “, the future of our dear country lies in the hands of all Nigerians.

While congratulating Nigeria for the sustainability of democracy since assumption of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo as the President of Nigeria in 1999, ending multiple of decades of military rule that began in 1966 and had been interrupted only by a brief period of democracy from 1979 to 1983, the chairman, implored Nigerians to vote for leaders that have the true love of this country at heart and shun money bag politics, in order to install credible people at the helms of affair in various political offices.

He therefore, called on Nigerians to pray for the peace and restoration of the country in the quest to elect credible leaders in the next year polls.

He also used the occasion to reiterate his promises to make the Council an enviable one amongst the comity of Local Governments in the country, by executing laudable projects that would stand the test of time and cut across the 10 wards of the council area.

“This has started in harness, we shall not renege but rather continue to forge ahead, working assiduously until our last day in office, in order to ensure better future for the citizens of Ewekoro Local Government” the chairman said.
