It was a scintillating and heartwarming encounter between Mass Communication Students Association football team who were the defending champions of 2021 inter-departmental tournament. At the final match of the maiden edition of Rector's cup 2022, the National Association of Business Administration Students (NABAMS) football team slogged it out again with Mass Communication students football team by giving the former a tough match in this year's final. NABAMS unlike what transpired last year, they won their opponent by 4 - 2 goals to lift the"2022 OWUTECH RECTOR'S CUP".
The final match was played on 6th of June, 2022 at the school field. The first half ended on a 1-1 draw as both sides got the ball pass the keeper into the back of the net.
During the second half, four goals were scored in total. Three from NABAMS and one from MACOSA which brought the match to a 4-2 victory for NABAMS.
Dignitaries present are; Dr Samuel Aderemi Adekunle, the Rector of OWUTECH who was ably represented by the Registrar, Mr Dapo Kolawole. We also had in attendance Mr Adeniran Muyideen (Deputy Rector), Dean Students Affairs, Mr Segun Allen, Dean school of Arts & Management Science Mr Olayinka, Dean School of Science Mr Akinsade Emmanuel, Assistant Sport Director Godwin Agbagu, Mr Ola Sunday among others.
