The pictures here depict the horrendous state of the 3 kilometre Federal Housing Estate, Olomore, Abeokuta, road which construction/rehabilitation started in April, 2021. Now, come to think of it, this is July, 2022, and we can all see the condition of the road.
The most worrisome aspect of the whole scenario would be seen in the fact that the road was almost at the completion stage before it was abandoned.
At the onset of the rainy season now, the condition of the road was better imagined and the untold hardship faced daily by several users of the road and especially those of us residing in the Estate and its suburbs than experienced.
And more worrisome is the rumour making the rounds that the road was abandoned by the government for the electioneering campaign period, to be used as a condition to secure our votes.
In other words, government may hinge her completion of the road on the condition that we
