The Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government Hon, Agbetokun Olawale Wasiu has as a matter of urgency called on the general public to disregard in totality fake social media posting on Imotu Community Academy, Ifonyintedo. The posting comprised of a report and a photograph of a student writing the current third term examination on the bare floor at Imotu Community Academy Ifonyintedo in the Ipokia Local Government Area. the untrue posting was seen on Wednesday 20th July 2022.
Onikoyi made this pronouncement immediately after he received a detailed situation report from the team he delegated to the college for the on-the-spot assessment of the "status quo", which is the state of things. The high-powered delegation was led by the Local Government Supervisor for Education Information and Community Development Hon. Olabode Caleb Olateju, (top) Government Official and Education Officer Mr. Omidiya Isaac Olugbenga.
While briefing the Council Chief, the team leader Hon. Olabode Caleb Olateju reported that they combed all the classes and school halls within Imotu Community Academy Ifonyintedo and discovered that there is more than enough furniture for the students and staff. Moreover, the student was seen writing their papers in a conducive atmosphere. "This observation runs contrary to what the published posting depicted," says Hon Olateju.
Speaking further, Hon. Agbetokun Olawale Wasiu disclosed that the Principals of the senior and Junior arms of the college MrJayeola Deji Oluwole and Mr. Omoniyi Oladipo were interviewed on the controversial posting. They referred to it as "propaganda of highest order, unfounded and blatant lies
Onikoyi stresses that it is a well-known fact that the present government under the able leadership of His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun (MFR) has been wholly committed to the rapid development of the education sector in the state from day one and that is the most reason why the sector has enjoyed massive development via colossal investment. The state helmsman according to Onikoyi has said at a different time than he is determined to do more in all this important sector and what we have seen is just the tip of the iceberg.
The Council Boss assured the general public that the publisher of this misleading damaging, seditious posting has failed woefully. He said further that his administration is not disturbed and will not be distracted under any circumstances from meeting the yearnings of the good people of the council area. "This development according to Onikoyi will support us to strive harder".
Hon. Agbetokun appeals to people to remain calm, peaceful, law-abiding, and be pursuing their legitimate businesses. He charged them to continue to co-operate and collaborate with his administration with the sole aim of bringing further development to the Ipokia Local Government.
