The former Governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun state Mr Biyi Otegbeye has debunked speculation going on social media that he has dumped his party for the People’s Democratic Party, the politician said he remains in the APC and ready to support Presidential Ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu..
Otegbeye who participated in the APC primary in Ogun state where he scored one vote but was controversially cancelled, lost to the state governor , Dapo Abiodun .
Reacting to his rumours of defection, Otegbeye who was reportedy given the PDP Senate ticket of Ogun West , denied the allegation .
He said “My attention has just been drawn to a news item making the rounds on social media that I am about to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“The stories are not true and should be disregarded as mere social media junks.
“I remain committed to the ideals and aspirations of our party, the All Progressives Congress, APC.
“I am also committed to working assiduously with others to ensure the success of our National leader and the Presidential Candidate of our party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 2023 election.
“I call on my teeming supporters who have been mobilising for our party towards the 2023 elections to remain steadfast as we pray to God Almighty to grant us victory at all levels.”
