The former Chief of staff to Ogun State Governors and All Progressive Congress APC Senatorial Candidate in Ogun Central Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Salish has recieved Odeda Social Media Team at his residence.
The gathering that was attended by Odeda Local government chairman, Hon. Folasade Adeyemo, Hon. Semiu Bola Lawal,GLO, Odeda Local government, Hon. Olarewaju Majekodunmi, TESCOM Commissioner, Hon. Fatal Adebimpe, former House of Assembly aspirant, Hon. Alimi, Member of Ogun state Housing Corporation, Hon. Rotimi Adeyemi, Leader of Odeda legislative arm and host of others within Ogun Central senatorial District.
In his welcome address, Alhaji Shuaib Salisu Afolabi appreciate them for there visit, charged them to always set the right agenda for discussions as purveyors of what comes out daily as news on Social Media.
Alhaji Shuaib Salisu Afolabi opined that there is a marked difference between the various political parties and candidates that will contest the 2023 general elections in Ogun state, adding that the clear difference lies in the understanding of the cogent topical national issues.
Noting that no group could be in a better position to set the agenda for the discussion than the media, the incoming Senator listed such issues as Money Bag-Politics, the quality of ‘elected representatives entrusted with the affairs at the National Assembly has remained a big challenge to the development of the state.
He said, Our Principal understands that Social media has provided Nigerians with the democracy we have long wanted, and we are increasingly using those platforms alongside traditional offline advocacy strategies to effect the change we seek.
The Media Team which cut across the six local government in Ogun central senatorial district were impressed by his preparedness and passion towards the achievement of his dream.
The Team offered suggestions and opinions on things we want him to do differently which as a liberal Leader is ready to adopt them and put to use.
