Cristiano Ronaldo, Portuguese international and former Manchester United player has finally revealed how painful it was to have been knocked out of the Fifa world cup in Qatar.
Ronaldo who is also fondly called CR7 said that winning the world cup with Portugal would have been the biggest and ambitious dream of his football career.
Recalled that the exceptional African Nation, Morocco knocked out Portugal from the World cup during the Quarter Final match on Saturday 10, December, 2022 in Qatar.
“Fortunately I won many titles of International dimensions, including with Portugal but putting our country name on the highest foot in World was my biggest dream”
He further added that ” I fought it. I fought hard for this dream. In the 5 appearances I scored in the World Cups over 16 years, always by the side of great players and supported by millions of Portuguese. I gave my all, Leave it all out on the field. I never turned my face to the fight and I never gave up on the dream”.
“Sadly the dream ended yesterday, it not worth reacting to the heat. I just want to you all to know that much has been said, much has been written, much has been speculated, but my dedication to Portugal has not changed not for a moment. I was always one fighting for the objective of all and I would never turn my back on my country and my colleagues”
“Not much more to say for now. Thank you Portugal. Thank you Qatar the dream was nice while it lasted….now, its hoping that the weather will be good advisor a day allow each one to draw their own conclusions”
