Pandemonium broke out on Thursday night in the border town of Owode Egbado in Yewa South local government area of Ogun state as rival cult group engage each other in supremacy battle.
A prison returning Kehinde a k a Egusi was said to have led a reprisal attack on the aiye confraternity members around 9:35pm of Thursday leading to the death of one aiye gang member popularly called Jabo in Alapara transformer area of the town.
A source reveal that Egusi claimed that many members of Eiye group were killed last year by Aiye members with the town leaders settling the matter without taking the culprit to book and as such now that he had returned to town all those responsible for that will all paid dearly with their life.
Our source claimed he made this statement at area community high school to his gang members during a night meeting on Wednesday and order immediate action.
As of the time of filling this report one gun casualty is receiving treatment at Ore -Ofe hospital opposite Baba Oyinbo in Sabo areas of Owode/Idiroko while three others are on danger list.
Although police immediately responded by combing the town for cult members but the cult members gun power override that of the police this made the leaders of the town to call for military assistance as Army officer attached to 192 army battalion Owode had take over from the police as at 10am of Friday January 27.
