A tourism expert and Chief Executive Officer of VIS IDEAL, Mr Abayomi Adeniji, has called on nigerian government to invest more in the tourism sector, saying that the sector did not get the neccessary support to develop from the government.
Adeniji, who made the charge on Saturday while speaking with journalists at the launching of Ideal Event Centre in Abeokuta, Ogun state, said the government should further expand partnership with private sector beyond the shores of Nigeria by attracting foreign direct investments.
He said that VIS IDEAL recorgnises the growing opportunities in the tourism and entertainment industry and so deem it fit to establish an entertainment Hub in Ogun state to boost the economy of the state.
The CEO explained further that the entertainment hub would not only develop talents within Nigeria but also create employment opportunities for the teeming youths of Ogun state.
" We recognize that the Entertainment industry is growing in leaps and bounds, this has began to impact the world as a whole. Thus, there is a need to close the gaps of having a reliable, affordable and enabling space to exhibit talents and develop them.
" VIS Ideal being known as a “one stop shop” for all facility and management needs has therefore diversified into creating a “one-stop shop for entertainment and management needs through “Ideal Events”.
" With an events hall which can be used for exhibition, shows, parties and various performances, to a training room that can be utilized for learning to develop and sharpen those talents and skills, to a mini studio that aids in producing reels, product adverts, photography, to a studio with state of the art equipment for recording, producing and editing, to a lounge which enables to groom upcoming talents, aids relaxation and recouping energies, also a game arcade which helps to sharpen the intellect and form strategies, then finally a wash bay facility that attracts all and sundry at affordable rates to clean their vehicles and engage their time positively at the lounge or any of the other sections to view the talents, encourage them and provide support. Thereby, creating growth and increasing the Nigeria entertainment world tremendously", said Adeniji.
He added " All sections independently attract diverse audience and regularly impact the industry, to aid publicity. Each section has its own kind of audience and each audience is able to derive value from the facility.
" VIS Ideal is presently in 22 states within Nigeria through our cleaning and maintenance services, employing about 80 workmen nationwide, with this new facility we have increased to over 90 staff. Within the next 5years, we intend replicating this “Ideal Events” initiative through the 5 regions of Nigeria and into the West Africa countries, and further incorporating the young and adolescent ones through recreational activities and helping to indoctrinate them gradually into the training system, thereby helping them encourage and develop talents from very little.
" We crave the support of event managers, entertainers, writers, power brokers, regulatory agencies, trainers, public speakers to let us all work together to further develop this Nation and talents within. People make places".
Wahoo true taught, more expansion across the globe.
