The All Progressive Congress (APC) South West Zonal Women Leader has sent a congratulatory messages to Governor Dapo Abiodun and Babajide Sanwolu for their reelection victory at the just concluded gubernatorial election held on Saturday.
Chief Mrs Yetunde Shakira Adesanya All Progressive Congress APC Southwest Zonal Women Leader stated this in a statement made available to our Correspondent in Abeokuta, she describe the election as a confirmation of the people’s trust in their led administration of the state which is driven by the Governor’s selfless service to the people.
She said, “Governor Babajide Sanwolu of Lagos State and Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has crossed through all barricades that has been set for them not to return, but his enormous success in office has vindicated them through the massive votes of the electorates which is to ascertain the beauty of democracy that has given the people the right to decide on their choice of who takes the mantle of leadership through the ballot”, he said
However she urged, the governor's to see this victory as an opportunity for them to put more effort in ensuring that they execute the Electioneering promises they has made to the people during the course of his campaign across the State.
She further admonished the Governors to run an an inclusive government whereby stretching his hands of fellowship to all other contestants in order for them to put heads together for the greater benefits of the state and the people, as it generally believed that two or more heads are always better one.
“Elections has come and gone, it is now important for us all to come together to work assiduously to make our State greater than it has always been, irrespective of our differences or affiliations”, the monarch reteirated
Adesanya, while commending the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and all security agencies, media for conducting a peaceful elections.
