Ewekoro Council's Boss Present #2,741,899,360 As Proposed Budget For 2023

The Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government has presented the sum of 2,741,899,360 as the Proposed budget for 2023 before the legislative arms of Government. The proposed  budget is tagged "budget of Fulfilment."

The official presentation of the 2023 budget was held at the legislative complex and was presented by Hon. Sikiru Adisa Adesina popularly called Eskay the Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government on Tuesday 11th of April, 2023.

Adesina explained that the fundamental goal and primary priority of the 2023 budget is to make the budget realistic and purpose driven as much as possible and also to improve the quality of lives of all Ewekoro citizens.

Adesina explained that the budget " budget of Fulfilment" has laudable objectives as well as to build on the solid foundation already làid through policies, Programme and Projects that would not only have direct impact on the lives of his people but will better the overall well-being of  grassroots populace.

He estimated a total revenue of  #2,741,899,360, comprising internal generated revenue of # 109,145,000 and statutory allocation, state allocation and other  source of revenue receipts to be #2,632,754,360.

He strengthened that the objective is to maintain a culture of working feasibly on the sum of#2,741,899,360   as expenditure comprising of recurrent and capital expenditure.

 The budget revenue at a glance; statutory allocation/VAT/Excess Crude - #2,487,754,360, State Allocation - #95,000,000, Aids & Grant - #50,000,000, Internally Generated Revenue - #109,145,000. 

And expenditure: Personal Cost & Allowance - #758, 669,360, Overhead Cost - #365,090,000, Consolidated Revenue Fund Charges (VRF) and payment of primary school teachers, pensions, gratuity and others - #2,438,759,360

Capital expenditure - #303,140,000 and total budget size - #2,741,898,360.

Adesina said that he had  the best plans but that solid execution rest on funds coming to the    local government from the federation  and state account. He Promised to do everything humanly possible to sky raise the internally generated   funds saying that "with all modesty, Mr Leader and Honourable members of Ewekoro Local Government council, I hereby present to you the proposed Year 2023 Budget for your consideration and necessary approval. " 

In his acceptance speech Hon. Abiola Muheeb Kehinde leader of the house, Ewekoro Local Government commend the Mr chairman for job well done on his efforts last year as the gt considered and approved the implementation maximally saying that, it'll have great impacts on the socio-econmic life of the people of Ewekoro Local Government.

Added that the draft budget presented today will not only be implemented when approved, but will further consolidate the good work this Administration had upon to better the welfare of the citizenry of Ewekoro Local Government since assumption of office.

While assuring Mr chairman on behalf of honourable members that the legislative house will waste no time to process the draft budget estimate presented so that it can be considered and approved for betterment of our people.

In addition, Hon. Yusuf Amosun members of Ogun State House of Assembly representing Ewekoro state constituency commend Hon. Sikiru Adisa Adesina and his cabinet members for performing beyond Peoples expectations.

He said, "the performance of Eskay is what resulted to the victory recorded in the last election. While calling on individuals to support them in their activities."
