The return of Frank Lampard to Chelsea was one of the most anticipated events of the Premier League this year, but it turned out to be a less-than-spectacular affair as the Blues suffered a 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
Lampard’s reappointment came as a surprise to many football fans around the world, as he replaced Graham Potter, who was sacked just seven months after taking charge of the club. Although the former Chelsea midfielder was expected to provide an instant lift to the struggling Blues, his first game back in charge saw no such revival.
