Ogun Monarch Charge Muslims To Be Advocates of Kindness,Love and Good Neighborliness - Oba Tijani
By Femi Afolabi, Awowo
As Muslims celebrate eid-el-fitri signifying end of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan, they have been advised to champion the virtues of kindness, love and good neighbourliness after the spiritual month.
The Alawowo of Awowoland, HRM Oba AbdulGafar Olasunkanmi Tijani gave the advice in his message to Muslims on the celebration.
The Monarch remarked that these good virtues, exemplified by the Holy Prophet(SAW) were all required to promote peaceful co-existence in a pluralistic nation like ours.
He enjoined adherents of the Islamic religion to imbibe and practice the behaviour of self restraints, self-denials and spiritual growth exhibited during the month beyond the period of fasting to make them better individuals.
While congratulating them on the successful completion of the spiritual rites, Oba Alawowo prayed that peace and blessings of Allah be sustained in the country.
