Community security and residents of Owode Yewa in Yewa South Local Government has arrested and paraded two brothers Ajibode Akinola 17 years and Adeola Wasiu 18 year yesterday for stealing cash and musical instruments.
The suspect was arrested by the resident of Toba street along Owode - Ilaro road, for jumping into a building within the community and carting away cash worth #45000:00 and some musical instrument.
The suspects were made to dance to beating round the community were captured while trying to sell their stolen goods to an Hausa man who was used as a bait for the unsuspecting thief that intend to sell the musical instrument at just a throw away prize #15000:00.
The culprit who both confessed to the crime were indegene of Ikereku area of Abeokuta and find their way to Owode following the Seperation of their parents five years ago and claimed to lives in Atan Ota, area of Ado Odo/Ota Local Government.
"We normally comes to Owode to steal after Agijo migth have supply information on where we are going to operate" ,the Thiefs were however left off the hocks around 5:00pm by the residents of the area after they retrieved the stollen money and the musical instruments.
A resident who spoke with our correspondent on the issue claims that, although they belief in the police effort at curbing crime but since "we caught them and gets back what they stolen, then we decided to punished, beat them barred and ask them never to come back to our town again or else if we catch them again we will not allow them to be freed.
