The Iperu Indigenes Forum, under the auspices of the Alaperu of Iperu Remo, Ogun State, His Royal Highness, Alayeluwa, Oba Adeleke Adelekan Idowu Basibo, Odoru V, has felicitated a native and indigene of the town, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein, on her appointment as the substantive Accountant-General of the Federation, by President Muhammadu BUHARI.
The forum felicitates the new appointee for scaling the hurdles, and for emerging successful in the keenly-contested aspiration of becoming the number one accountant in the federal civil service.
The forum describes her appointment as apt and well-deserved, judging by her professional antecedents, and coming at a time that the nation is transiting from the outgoing BUHARI administration to that of the incoming TINUBU administration.
The forum while felicitating and wishing her a successful tenure, also used the medium to appreciate President Buhari for his gracious approval of her appointment.
The appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) MADEIN, an indigene of Iperu Remo, which takes effect from May 18, was made known on friday, 19th May, 2023, by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. (Mrs.) Folasade Yemi-Esan, via a press release issued by the Director of Communications in the office, Mohammed Abdullahi Ahmed.
Madein, an accountant, and erstwhile Director of Finance and Administration in the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation, has over thirty years experience in the federal civil service, having served in various ministries, departments and agencies, as an accountant, financial manager and internal auditor.
She started her career as a middle level officer at the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC ); worked as a pioneer team at both the Family Economic Advancement Programme (FEAP); and the National Poverty Alleviation Programme NAPEP).
The new Accountant-General served at the Ministry of Police Affairs; Commerce and Industry; Works and Housing; Youths and Sports Development; all in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
Dr. Madein, an old student of Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Iperu, is also a graduate of Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta, and an alumnus of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, and Walden University, Minnesota, United States of America, with the following academic qualifications.
West African School Certificate, Higher National Diploma in Accountancy, Post Graduate Diploma, Business Administration, Masters in Business Administration, Doctor of Business Administration (Honoris Causa), Ph.D Management Finance.
And she also belongs to the underlisted professional bodies: Fellow, Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants, UK. Member, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, Member, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
She is happily married to Engr. Adeleke Olusina MADEIN, also an Iperu indigene, and the marriage is blessed with four wonderful children.
