In furtherance of its determination to boost businesses for socio-economic development of the State, the Ogun State Agricultural and Multipurpose Credit Agency, (OSAMCA), has disbursed over N10.7million loan to qualified Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs),
The Chairman, OSAMCA, Princess Feyikemi Egbeyemi who made this known during the presentation of cheques to another batch of the beneficiaries, said that a total of over N30million loans had so far been disbursed in the first quarter of year 2023.
Princess Egbeyemi, who appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun for the support given to the Agency in the last two years, said the loans disbursed to agribusinesses and non-agribusinesses entrepreneurs and mentoring to farmers and market women had contributed immensely to the economic growth of the State.
She assured that government would continue to roll out loans to MSMEs on monthly basis as far as the criteria were met by beneficiaries, saying the agency was committed to promoting skill acquisition programmes such as Hairdressing, Barbing, Sewing, Hat making, and many more.
The Chairman appealed to the beneficiaries of the loan not to see it as a, ‘’national cake’’, but use the loan to expand their businesses and pay up at stipulated time, urging interested entrepreneurs to visit any of the five Zonal Offices for enquiry or log on to www.Osamca.ng
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Olanrewaju Egunsola commended the effort of the State government, promising to utilise the loan judiciously.
