The pioneer chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government Alhaji Fatai Bodunrin @ 80 years old,
As Abeokuta North Legislators observe one minute silence to honor late Alhaji Fatai Bodunrin at legislative session, displeased about the affairs of the Council.
The legislators in Abeokuta North Local Government, Ogun State, on Friday observed a minute silence to honour one of the political leaders in the local government, late Alhaji Fatai Bodunrin.
Late Bodunrin died on Wednesday, 3, 2023 at the age of 80. He was laid to rest yesterday according to Islamic rites.
The minute silence was observed during the sitting presided by the leader of the legislative house, Hon. Sikiru Tunde Sanni.
The leader of the legislative house in his speech described the late APC Chieftain as an outstanding politician who can never be forgotten in the history of Ogun state generally, adding that he would be sorely missed by all.
He added that the late politician during his life time was a father and mentor to all legislators and some political parties in the state.
Hon. Sanni said " We lost one of our political leaders in the local government, late Alhaji Fatai Bodunrin and I want us to stand up and observe a minute silence for the late politician. He concluded.
During the plenary, Hon. Nasiru Ayotunde Councillor representing Elega Ward 4 Abeokuta North move a motion to invite the Supervising Councillor for works and the director of works to the chamber for questioning. The motion was duly seconded by Hon. Adejobi Olusanmi.
Hon Adejobi 'Sanni representing ward 12, Ita-Oshin/Olomore move a motion for a reminder letter to be written to Executive Chairman requesting for three (3) months Financial Records of the Local Government from January, 2023 to March, 2023 and this was duly seconded by Hon. Moroof Erubami.
The legislators present were, Hon. Moruf Erubami, Hon. Adeogun Lukmon, Hon. Nasiru, Hon. Mutiu Sanni, Hon. Lateef Akeyan, Hon. Adejobi 'Sanmi, Hon. Nasiru Azeez, Hon. Akinbami, Hon. Adesipe Olusola, Hon.Tinuosho Kazeem.
