Evangelist James Adekolapo Oluwaseun Awosanya, popularly known as Jerry, a Sagamu-born prince from the Emuko quarters in Isale Agbowa, Makun, Sagamu, will on monday, 26th June, 2023, celebrate his 50th birthday.
Tagged: "Celebration of God's Grace at 50", the event is meant to acknowledge and appreciate God's grace in his life from birth till his attainment of the golden age.
High point of the celebration, which holds at the Sagamu Town Hall, is the official unveiling and formal launching of his food bank, charity and humanitarian project, the Iyanutisele Foundation.
The foundation is a vehicle through which he gives back to the society, and reaches out to the needy and less-privileged
Among dignitaries expected to grace the occasion are the Ewusi of Makun Kingdom, His Royal Highness, Oba Timothy Akinsanya, Orungba II, who is the Royal Father of the Day; while the National President of ACOMORAN, and Baba Adeen of Sagamu, Alh. Samsudeen Apelogun (all -rounder), will serve as the Chairman of the occasion.
Co-chief Launchers are the CEO, Adron Homes and Properties, Aare Adetola EmmanuelKing, and Giwa Egbe Degbuyi Remo, and CEO, Alex Matrix Nigeria Limited, Gbuyi Alaba Ogunsola.
The Executive Chairman, Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Afolabi Odulate; Deputy Majority Leader of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Ademola Adeyinka Adeniran (Sapele); and the erstwhile Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Ogun State, Hon. Funmi Akinyebo-Efuwape; are Special Guests of Honour.
Equally listed as the event hosts are the CCC, VOJC Global Parishes; Egbe Degbuyi Remo; Castle Club, Uk; Quintessence International; Egbe Degbuyi (Obinrin) Remo; and Revolution Club and Hotel.
Earlier in the day, the celebrant and promoter of the Iyanutisele Foundation, Kola Awosanya, and his team will visit his alma mater, the Wesley School, Sonyindo, Sagamu; the Sagamu Correctional Centre; and some orphanages; where gifts, including learning materials, food items, among other provisions, shall be donated to the pupils, inmates and residents.
Widows and the elderly are not left out, as they will also be presented some items in the spirit of the forthcoming ileya celebration.
Tomorrow will also witness the final match of the Iyanutisele Cup, a 5-aside Football Competition among some grassroot-based clubs in Sagamu.
Jerry was born on 26th June, 1973 into the family of Odumoye Awosanya (Odugboro) family from Isale Agbowa, Makun, Sagamu. His father is the Late Professor Babatunde Awosanya, a retired academic from the University of Benin, and mother is Mrs. Abigail Awosanya.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (combined honours) degree in Industrial Mathematics from the University of Benin in the year 2000 (a millenium graduate).
Kola Awosanya, an astute businessman is the CEO of KJ Holdings International, a Travel and Recruitment Consultancy/Automobile sales firm, based in Coventry, United Kingdom. A lover of children, he is also the founder and proprietor of Let-There-Be-Light-Academy, Sagamu.
Jerry, a socialite of repute, is the immediate past Vice President of Sagamu Development Forum; a member of the Quintessence International; Castle Club, UK; and the convener of the foremost socio-cultural age-grade group in Remoland, the Egbe Degbuyi Remo.
A loving husband and responsible father, he is happily married to Oluwatoyin Kemi Awosanya, and the union is blessed with five wonderful children (three boys and two girls).
