The Senator representing Ogun West senatorial district at the National Assembly, Sen. Solomon Olamilekan Adeola foundling call YAYI has said that he was going to work with the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun at ensuring that the region is well developed.
Sen. Adeola who stated this during a thanksgiving service organized to appreciate almighty Allah and the Yewa Muslim community for their support at the last general election held at Ilaro central mosque in Yewa South Local Government of the State, thanked the State Governor for his support during and after the general election.
Adeola while assuring that he would give the region quality representation at the Red Chamber gave a donation of fifty million naira (#50million) for the completion of the ongoing reconstruction of Ilaro Central Mosque (ICM) with a promise to always make himself available and accessible to the Muslim community.
Thanking the traditional rulers in the region for their support and prayers at all times, Sen. Adeola who pointed out that he knows problems facing the people of Yewaland, assured that no part of the region would be left on touch during his tenure.
He said that he would use his closeness to the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Senate President to facilitate and bring developmental projects that would have meaningful impact in the life of the people and at the same time improve socio-economic development of the area.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Imam of Ansar-ud-deen mosque, Ilaro, Alhaji Badmus Adegbite lauded the senator for all he has done for the region even before he became senator representating Ogun West.
Alhaji Adegbite who listed part of Sen. Adeola's achievement in the area to include construction of roads, empowerment of youths, women and widows, distribution of transformers, provision of desks and chairs across primary and secondary schools in the region, enjoined him not to relent but, do more especially now that he is representing Ogun West at the National Assembly.
In his royal remarks, the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount ruler of Yewaland, Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Olugbenle urged citizens of the region to continue to support and cooperate with the senator, affirming that Adeola could not do it alone.
Oba Olugbenle assured the Muslim community that the senator would always support them and would not disappoint people of the area.
The thanksgiving event witnessed special prayer session for the generosity and kindness of Sen. Solomon Adeola, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the paramount ruler of Yewaland and Ogun State in general.
Present at the event was the former Deputy Governor of the State, Alhaja Salmon Badru, former Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Suraj Adekunbi, Yewa South Local Government Chairman, Hon. Lateef Salami, Yewa traditional rulers, current members of the State House of Assembly representing the region, The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Dr. Mukail Akinde, Islamic clerics among others to mention few.
