Members of National Assembly Representing Yewa South/Ipokia federal constituency has appealed to members of the 10th Assembly to reversed the policy of the last administration of 20km PMS from the border town.
Hon. Isiaka Abiodun Akinlade made the appealed during a plenary in Abuja.
They had resolved and moved a motion, urging the FG policy of last administration of 20km PMS from the border to be reversed.
In the last one and half month after the inauguration of the National Assembly, the voices of the masses are being heard in the National Assembly, the man of the masses, Rt- Hon. Akinlade Abiodun Isiaq representing Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency in collaboration with Hon. Gboyega Nasir Isiaka representing Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency had moved a motion in the floor of the house urging the FG on the needs to reopen our international land borders.
They highlighted the negative effects this unpopular policy had brought on the living standard of our people. It had paralyzed their business activities while making life unbearable for people living close to the border.
Now that subsidy had been removed, it is no longer important to make our people go through all sorts of hardship while banning petrol stations to operate around border areas.
They had resolved and moved a motion, urging the FG policy of last administration of 20km PMS from the border to be reversed.
It is also good to note that, experience is always the BEST TEACHER, whereby the man of the masses, Rt-Hon. Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade didn't mince words to educate the members of the house on the federal government parastatals, and MDAs to adhere strictly to the federal character balancing index by following the equity, fairness, and justice in the area of employment.
Hon. Akinlade expresses his concerns over this where some state are been shortchanged in the scheme of employment.
