The week-long events of the 30th Convocation Ceremony of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), would begin on August 4, 2023, with a Jumat Service by 1 p.m. at the University Mosque.
According to a Release issued on July 19, 2023, and signed by the Registrar, Dr. ‘Bola Adekola, there would be an Interdenominational Church Service on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at the University Chapel by 9:30 a.m.
The Release further stated that the Convocation Press Conference would be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023, by 10 a.m., followed by the commissioning of projects at various sites on Campus starting from 11 a.m.
On Friday, August 11, 2023, the event would continue with the Convocation Ceremony and Award of First Degrees to deserving Graduands of the University by 10 a.m. at the Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building, while the Convocation Lecture and Award of Higher Degrees would hold on Saturday, August 12, 2023, by 10 a.m at the same venue.
The Lecture would be delivered by a former Honourable Minister for Education and former Vice-President of the World Bank (Africa Region), Dr. Oby Ezekwesili.
The Release added that the 30th Convocation Ceremony would climax with a Convocation Luncheon at the International Scholars’ and Resource Centre (IS&RC), by 1 p.m.
