Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu representing Ogun Central Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate has congratulated Hon. Oludaisi Elemide on his victory at the Election Petition Tribunal.
In a statement he personally issued in Abeokuta after the Election Petition Tribunal dismissed the petition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate against the election of Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, the Senator says "I joyfully and proudly identify with, and congratulate Hon Oludaisi Elemide, my brother and the representative of our common patrimony, Odeda State Constituency, in Ogun State House of Assembly on the affirmation of his victory by the Election Petition Tribunal".
The statement continues "Though the well reasoned judgement of the Tribunal didn't come as a surprise, nonetheless, we thank God and the judiciary for putting judicial stamp on the mandate freely given to Hon Elemide by people of Odeda Local Government Area at the polls."
Senator Salisu, who is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on ICT & Cybersecurity, is delighted that with this judgement, Hon Elemide can now redouble his efforts to provide quality representation for his Constituency in particular and renew his commitment to the development of Ogun State as a whole.
"I enjoin the opposition to respect the wish of our people, accept the verdict in good faith and join hands with Hon Elemide and other stakeholders for the advancement of the welfare and wellbeing of our Local Government Area", the statement concludes.
