The Scholarship Scheme of Senator Solomon Adeola for indigents students in Ogun West Senatorial District holds on Saturday.
Adeola, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriations in a statement signed by his Media Adviser, Chief Kayode Odunaro, noted that to the lawmaker recently inaugurated a Scholarship Award Board for students of Ogun West origin in higher institutions of learning across the nation with Professor Tope Popoola as chairman and other prominent scholars, heads of institutions, and notable professionals as members.
The Board has since set standards for applications and selection for the scholarship award programme and will, on Saturday November 4 publicly unveil the Scholarship award programme to signal the official commencement of the award scheme.
As part of programme, the official website of the Scholarship Board will be launched and made operational for suitably qualified candidates to process their registration.
Following inquiries on social media and in person by some constituents on-criminally minded manipulations after the Scholarship Board was announced, Senator Adeola cautioned members of the public not to patronise fake applications website, asking them to pay stipends as the scholarship registration will not attract any payment to register or process the application.
