As we're moving closer to the Christmas and New Year, the Minister for Finance, Hon. Wale Edun and Abold Helping Hands Foundation are set to distribute 6,100 bags of rice in the city of Abeokuta.
Advised well-meaning Nigerians to reach out to the less privileged at this critical time as a show of love which this season symbolises.
Mr Abiodun Dada, the Chairman, Board of Trustee of Abold Helping Hands Foundation gave this advice during the official presentation of 50kg of 100bags of rice to the traditional rulers in Egbaland over the weekend.
According to Mr Abiodun Dada, he acknowledged that the Honourable Minister for Finance, Hon. Wale Edun has deemed it fit to reach out to people of Egbaland at this very hard time. He said that it was very important to bless others from the little God has given to them.
He further said that, their foundation is giving back to the society and it has been established since four years ago with the registration number (RN157630). He affirmed that the main purpose of reaching out to the needy and less privileged in the community is for them to feel season.
Meanwhile, While the foundation is here to support the kings and show them that they mean well for the people and all those that gathered, he presented the gifts they have to the people for Christmas and new year celebration.
As we all know how it's currently in Nigeria, the economy is not what it used to be, but we have few things that we can give and that is why we're here to reach out to the community through the kings in the EGBA land.
He explained that 50kg of 100 bags of rice is for the kings and 6000 bags of 5kg of rice is for the communities in Egbaland.
Also, an All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain, Chief Bode Mustapha who doubles as Osi of Egbaland thanked the Egba Obas for their prayer and support during and after the elections.
He was very happy when they called him to lead the team because the benefits is for Egba people. He said each traditional ruler will be given a bag of rice and two groundnut oil and also, there is arrangement for the four sections of Egbaland.

On behalf of Egba Traditional Council Obas, His Royal Majesty Oba Dr Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Alake & Paramount Rulers of Egbaland thanked Hon Wale Edun, Honourable Minister for Finance and Abold Helping Hands Foundation situated at plot 4 Wole Soyinka Avenue Gwarinpa, Federal Capital, Abuja for remembering his people at the very tough period that we find ourselves in the country, Alake appreciates Hon. Wale Edun for putting smile into the faces of people in Egbaland while as well, wishing us merry Christmas and prosperous new year in advance.
