Nigerian gospel singer Ayomiku Mary Alabi, daughter of renowned gospel artist Tope Alabi, shared her journey to discovering her passion for music during an interview with Nollywood actress Ayomide Adebayo Abiola. 

Alabi revealed that despite her initial aspirations to become an actress and movie director, she felt upset when she realized that her true calling was in music. 

Growing up in a humble background where her parents struggled to make ends meet, Alabi spent a significant portion of her childhood living with her grandparents.

Alabi expressed her initial resistance to embracing music as her calling, as she had envisioned a career in acting and directing. 

However, upon realizing her talent and passion for singing, she eventually accepted her destiny in the music industry. 

Despite her initial reluctance, Alabi has embraced her role as a gospel musician and acknowledges the unexpected fame her mother, Tope Alabi, has achieved through her own music career. 

Through her candid revelations, Alabi highlights the challenges and personal conflicts she faced in pursuing her true passion amidst her childhood aspirations.
