By Olufemi Ogunlari, Ijebu-Igbo
Ogun Traditional Ruler has enjoins christians all over the World not to allow Jesus Christ suffering on the cross of Calvary to be in vain.
Oba Abdulrasheed Abayomi Banjo, Olokine of Ojowo, Ijebu - Igbo in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State, made this available to press men to in Abeokuta.
Olokine enjoined Christians various Christians groups and organisations, not to allow the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus to be in vain .
The Monarch observed that it will not be in vain if Christians and the society at large demonstrate greater love as exemplified by Jesus when he laid down his life for his friends. Greater love should be evident in sharing with the less privilege, empathy to the needy, support to government in her developmental programmes even when it bites hard which is the lesson that should be learnt from Jesus when he endured the suffering on the cross.
Oba Abdulrasheed Abayomi Banjo called on governments at all levels to continue to execute programmes that will alleviate the suffering of the people and subsequently challenged the 10th National assembly on the need for constitutional change with a view to assigning constitutional roles to the Traditional Institutions in the country which will be a panacea for the security breaches in the country as it is evident that the current security architecture cannot substantially deliever a sustainable solution .
Olokine concluded by praying for Christians, Nigerians and Governments that they shall be divinely led in decision making and that by next Easter, Nigeria would have been a country of reference for the good of all.
