The Legislative Council of the Abeokuta North Local Government under the leadership of Hon. Sikiru Tunde Sanni has directed that all ongoing projects within the local government should be out on hold tentatively.
The lawmaker however called on the chairman, Hon. Adebayo Ayorinde to furnish the House with a detailed expenditure of the council project fund.
The decision was arrived at the plenary of the House, held yesterday May 22, 202 at Akomoje Abeokuta.
The sitting was attended by 12 honourable members including the 4 principal officers who all voted in favour of the motion as moved by Hon. Adejobi Olusanmi, Councillor representing Ward 12 and seconded by Hon. Adeogun Lukman of ward 16 respectively.
An effort by our correspondent to speak with the council chairman proved abortive as his line was not going.
