Residents of Ikenne and Ilishan in Ikenne Local Government Area of the Ogun state have commended Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration on the ongoing asphalting of Iperu Junction to Ilishan roundabout, and the reconstruction of Ilishan-Babcock road with drainage system.
Speaking with newsmen, a resident of the community, Mr. Adeniyi Buhari, revealed that the intervention would alleviate the sufferings that people experienced on the road, appreciating the government's stride in making roads accessible in the urban and rural areas.
Also speaking, a motorcyclist, Mr. King Solomon, said the road was not passable before now, commending Governor Abiodun for the rehabilitation, saying the intervention would improve economic activities in the area.
Meanwhile, reconstruction of the collapsed INEC-Ijeun Titun-Ijaye road, double cell culvert via Iyana Mortuary, as well as the damaged bridge along Ijeja road in Abeokuta South Local Government Area are ongoing.
A trader along INEC road in Ijeun Titun area, Mrs. Solape Amusan, expressed delight over the infrastructural strides of government, explaining that people had found it difficult to patronise her grocery shop because of the effect of the damaged bridge.
Also, a Community leader, Chief Adisa Ojelabi, appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun for ensuring adequate welfare and well-being of the people, promising their continued support to the present administration.
