Motorcycle Operators Union Debunks Fake Ticket Claims In Lagos

By Miracle Okoro, Abeokuta

The Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria (MOUN) has categorically denied allegations that the tickets it sells to commercial motorcycle operators in Lagos are counterfeit.

In a statement issued in Abuja, National President Alhaji Rasak Olusola Sotayo described the claims as misleading and aimed at tarnishing the union's reputation.

Sotayo assured that MOUN would never engage in illegal activities, adding that the Lagos government recognises that the union is duly registered under the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.

He also stressed that the union is committed to maintaining transparency and integrity.

Sotayo clarified that the tickets are genuine, purchased directly from the national office in Abuja, and verified by the National Treasurer.

Sotayo said “The allegations are baseless and designed to destroy our image. I urge the public to disregard such rumors and only purchase tickets from authorized MOUN agents.

"The tickets that our union is currently selling, especially in Lagos are not fake. They are genuine and they are directly from the MOUN's national office in Abuja.

"The allegation is an attempt to destroy the image of MOUN. We are not selling fake tickets so I urge the general public not to buy such.

"The Lagos state government is aware that we are really working in Lagos and recognizes MOUN as number one in Nigeria.

He however warned persons spreading rumors that  the union is selling fake tickets to riders in Lagos and other states is fake to desist from such.
