By Our Correspondent

Oba Adedokun Omoniyi Abolarin, Orangun of Oke-Ila and, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye,Soun of Ogbomosho attended the same secondary school, Adventist Grammar School, Ede in 1973.

Fate still joined them as they attended, the then the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife) together.

Orangun of Oke-Ila was a teacher, political scientist, and lawyer while Soun was a successful businessman and top pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in the US before ascending the thrones of their forefathers.

The first pic was taken during the call-to-bar ceremony of Oba Adedokun as a lawyer in 1991. His friend and schoolmate, Oba Ghandi was in attendance.

Oba Adedokun was crowned in 2006 while Oba Ghandi was crowned in 2023. Their friendship has been for over 50 years.
