Tragedy struck in Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State, on the evening of Saturday, October 12, 2024, with the news of the death of Alhaji (Hon.) Lateef Adebayo Salami, affectionately known as LAS, who served as the immediate past chairman of the Yewa South local government.
Reports indicated that LAS died at an undisclosed hospital in Ilaro-Yewa after a brief illness, leaving the community in shock and sorrow.
