The Former Kogi State Senator, Senator Dino Melaye has mock the immediate past governor of Kogi State Yayah Bello for celebrating 2024 Christmas and New Year festival inside Kuje Prison, federal capital territory Abuja.
Senator Dino Melaye who is former Senator also double as former governorship candidate of People Democrats Party (PDP) in the last election in Kogi State and fierce critic of Bello, Dino Melaye, took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account to react to the development this morning.
Former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, will remain in custody over the holidays following a ruling by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court.
On Tuesday, the court ordered Bello’s remand at the Kuje Correctional Centre pending the resolution of his bail application in a ₦110 billion money laundering case filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Justice Maryann Anenih, who presided over the case, adjourned the matter for formal hearings on January 29, 30, and February 25, 27, 2025. The decision has sparked widespread discussions on social media.
