As part of his determination to serve with diligence and improve the living standard of residents, the Executive Chairman, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State, Barr. Abraham Ogunsola, has promised to initiate programmes and provide adequate social amenities, that would make life more bearable for all residents of the area.
The Chairman, made this known while swearing in Councillors for the ninth legislative council at the Local Government Secretariat, Ilaro, assuring that his government would emulate the ' ISEYA' mantra of Prince Dapo Abiodun.
Barr. Ogunsola affirmed that the authority of the council area would serve diligently, urging the legislative members to be responsible and remain committed to the upliftment of the Local Government.
He said, “We will discharge our duties to the best of our ability at ensuring that we justify the trust reposed in us".
In his response, leader of the Legislative Council (Ilaro Ward 1), Hon. Olayinka Adekanmbi, called on his colleagues to see themselves as a vessel of progress. He pledged members' cooperation with the Executive arm, particularly creating a harmonious working environment and passage of bye laws that would further improve the living condition of the people.
”Cooperation and harmonious relationships will be established in the course of carrying out our legislative functions, as our determination is mainly to chart a new way forward for the socio-economic development of our Council Area”, he said.
