Ogun Monarch Received OOU Mass Comm Students, Charged Them To Be A Good Ambassadors Of The School

Ogun Traditional Ruler has advised Students of Mass Communication Department from Olabisi Onabanjo University,Ago Iwoye to be good ambassadors of there schools.

His Royal Majesty Oba Dr Fakayod Adesina Faluade Olu of Ibogun Balogun stated this yesterday while receiving students of Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago Iwoye in his Palace.

Oba Faluade explained that they should face there study and be a good ambassadors of Nigeria, as there parents expected much from them.

Oba Dr. Fakayode Adesina Faluade warmly welcomed the students and elaborated on the strong relationship between the school and the Ibogun community. 

He emphasized the community's ongoing commitment to improving student welfare, noting the provision of a modern police station to enhance security and the establishment of Oja Oba Fakayode Adesina Faluade, a local market aimed at reducing the stress of students traveling to Ifo for groceries.

The monarch assured the students that more initiatives would be implemented to strengthen the bond between the university and the community, ensuring continued growth and mutual benefits for all stakeholders.

Also, Chief J.A. Olanloye (Baa-Pitan Ibogun Balogun) provided a brief history of the campus, tracing its establishment of College Of Engineering at Ibogun in Ifo Local Government and College of Agriculture at Ayetoro in Yewa North Local Government, by Otunba Gbenga Daniel OGD . 

He highlighted how the campus has significantly boosted the economic and social development of Ibogun while fostering peaceful coexistence between the school community and the indigenes.

"It was on Friday, January 10, 2025, the research students from the Department of Mass Communication at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, paid a courtesy visit to the Olu Ibogun Balogun Palace.

The visit was part of a research project conducted by the university to engage with stakeholders and evaluate the significance of the OOU Engineering Campus established in Ibogun in the year 2003 by the former governor of Ogun State Otunba Gbenga Daniel (OGD)".
