Prince Saheed Aregbesola to becomes Osolo of Isolo, as Alado family present sole candidate

Head of Papa Alagbeji family in Isolo, Lagos State , Alhaji Taorid Faronbi, famously known as Alado, has presented Prince Saheed Ishola Aregbesola as the Osolo-Elect.

Alado enjoined the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, his deputy, Doctor Kadir Hamzat and Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Bolaji Robert to listen to the yearning and cry of people by announcing Prince Saheed Ishola Aregbesola as the next Osolo.

The candidate will be succeeding the Late Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka III, the Osolo of Isolo, who died on April 10, 2024.

Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka III was 64 years old and had ruled for 20 years.

Farounbi, who is equally the Akinrogun of Isolo affirmed Aregbesola as the only sole candidate of Papa Alagbeji’s family to assume the throne of Osolo.

According to him, some people were going about alleging that he signed letters endorsing certain persons vying for the Isolo throne.

But Alado said that such a claim was absolutely untrue and, therefore, called on the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his Deputy, Dr. Hamzat and the Commissioner for the Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Bolaji Robert, to disregard any correspondence outside the one with the name of Saheed Ishola Aregbeshola as the family’s choice for the royal stool’.

He said, “I want to make it very clear that as the head of Papa Alagbeji family, the only person I have endorsed for Osolo stool was Prince Saheed Ishola Aregbesola. Any other person claiming that I have endorsed him is a chronic liar and impostor.”
